CONGESTION ALSO TRIGGERS BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION!
It’s not my policy of course to touch upon political issues in general, though, for 90% or more among my Indian compatriots it’s the nation’s or state’s politics that engrosses their attention instantly-and then only the real needs of this nation ,including its desire to step up and get on! This is based on my lifelong observation that NO political outfit here is without a few warts on its face, however glossed over with repeated coats of Lacto Calamine!
For a change I shall touch upon Red Chinas hegemonic overtures at our border in general with many ancient claims for lebensraum (=living space) and especially at the India-Bhutan-China tri-junction at Dok La in the NE.I recently had the chance to see a video with Indian soldiers frightening away individual Chinese troops with shouts and screamed commands on one side and the latter suddenly making a move to kick off a stone from the side of the Indian trench at the border post in Dok La!
OBOR has been one such tool clandestinely intended to make a pathway for easy takeover of territories too. Making it up to all neighboring nations, including Sikkim and Bhutan at present, has also been another such gesture, intended for cannibalization under some pretext.
You may query me why China is displaying this hegemonic tendency all of a sudden, over and above their grandiose Buddha-like facial stare on global fora.
The reason is CONGESTION OF POPULATION primarily, aggravated by a desire to expand its regional hold and clout pan-Asia.
Look the mindset change brought about by a will-o-the-wisp within one’s mind—like the Arab Empire Reborn for all Muslims today!-is, however impractical and impossible it may be, so strong that basic courtesy gets shelved aside in a strenuous effort to gain one’s own ends.
Across India the population of one specific minority is proliferating slowly but steadily and the parents are brainwashed enough view the birth of a kid as a gift from their deity up above too. But isn’t the parent in question also giving up peace of mind when there is too much kid congestion under his roof?
If your neighbor has too many kids, it’s not his private issue at all (though he may have been told to adopt this stance!) but a social issue since the raucous noises made by the kids disturbs your life at home too.
If a home houses two home grown terrorists who specialize in IED bomb making for commercial purposes, it can kill you people too in your home at some time!
A neighbor that was at one time your best friend can become a bitter enemy if he begets >5 kids at home and is constrained to stay with their bawls ,caterwauls, screams and shouts all the time. His house become over noisy with loud recriminations and open air accusations between his wife and him and that takes away your own sleep!
Later he may try to topple your border walls , under the false pretext that his grandma was buried in that location! He may make incursions into your plot of land under some guise and then try to forge documents or title deeds in his own favor!
He has fathered too many children (“from my God!”–a ridiculous explanation!) and is not getting even a peace of mind at his home!
One of my younger neighbors specialized in stealing guns and swords from museums (He was seized recently by the local police on a tip off, though we had never suspected the guy to be in any manner dangerous!).In the wee hours of the night this guy used to go to Marappalam, and then shoot away at huge bill boards and metal noticeboards set up by the local residential associations! The loud bang used to frighten the local persons but they couldn’t locate who was causing it!
My point is very simple:
MUTUAL MONITORING IS CRUCUIAL FOR ALL INDIANS THESE DAYS.KEEP YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN AT ALL TIMES.PASS ON INFORMATION TO THE AUTHORITIES IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE IT OR GET AUTHENTIC REPORTS ABOUT SOMETHING VICIOUS GOING ON IN YOUR VICINITY!
An outbreak of rebellion or protest can take place at any moment. Protest marches can get organized in no time at all –like it was in Tunisia after the murder of a fruit merchant by the police in Tunis—and stone pelting may also accompany them to bring home a point to a largely overcrowded government and administration mechanism!
Many persons plying the roads of every city may be armed with deadly weapons and so a daylight murder or rape at knife point is not impossible. (One migrant laborer from Bengal I think attempted this daylight rape recently here outside a TV studio complex and he carried a lay girl on his shoulders for some time before getting stopped!)
Thus goes an Ethiopian saying from the Mengistu Haile Mariam days of military government in the 1990’s—“Love your Brother but Don’t Trust him”.
I was serving in that country an ELT Inspector at that time—a job that involved much travel across the land in a Ministry-supplied Jeep with driver, visits to >4700 schools in a year and frequent stay near the schools for a couple of days too!– and I often couldn’t rent a lodging facility in towns there because I was a lone individual–unless ‘helped’ by some woman with her own presence for a while!
She had to come and say that she would be in the room at night. Then only could I get a room. Of course she would sneak away under some pretext within half an hour with the full connivance of the lodge owner! She understood the quandary I was in though I was a “Faranch Sow” or a foreigner!
Ha-ha! Those adventurous days!
